A Focused Mission
We equip leaders who live near unreached people groups to share the gospel in culturally relatable ways.
An Experienced Team
Transparent Financials
When you give, we are committed to making it easy for you to see how we’re using the funds you have entrusted to us.
Here is what you need to know about Reach the Rest:
Our Why
It’s heartbreaking to consider that so many live and die without ever knowing the love of Jesus. We want to respond to God’s call and see everyone in the world receive the Good News. But it’s hard to make this longing a reality. Often, the areas where the name of Jesus is not known are also the most remote or complex regions to reach. Many attempts to deliver the gospel in these areas have failed, and few groups are still trying.
For decades, Reach the Rest has been developing an approach that offers people in the hardest-to-reach regions of the world an opportunity to hear and receive the gospel. We’ve learned that when we resource and support local believers who share a language and culture, they can make trusted connections with the unreached in their regions and more effectively introduce people to the light of Jesus.
So, it’s become our mission to pair your prayers and offerings for the lost with these modern-day disciples. When we do, we can all fulfill the Great Commission and see the love of Jesus shared with every single soul.
We believe the rest are within REACH.
Our Mission
Reach the Rest exists to identify, resource, and equip indigenous, proximate, multiplication-focused leaders in the 10-40 window to reach the unreached.
More than 3 billion people in our world don’t know Jesus. More than 220 million people live in Unreached People Groups (UPG), and almost no one is even trying to tell them about Jesus. With faith so central in our lives, it’s difficult to imagine a world where we would never – in the course of our entire lifetime – hear the name of Jesus or experience His saving grace. And, when the facts do settle in, it’s especially hard to know what to do about Unengaged, Unreached People Groups.
We believe the rest are within REACH.
Our Approach
We partner with indigenous leaders until the rest of the world knows about Jesus.
IDENTIFYING PROXIMATE LEADERSHIP:
Identify, develop, and empower near-culture and/or in-culture indigenous leaders to own and execute a vision of multiplying disciples and churches within their targeted regions or people groups.
GOING AFTER THE LEAST REACHED AREAS:
Focus on multiplication movements among the least-reached peoples: UPG/UUPG’s, frontier people groups, and persecuted peoples.
MULTIPICATION OF DISCIPLES AND CHURCHES.
We come alongside proximate leaders with a region-specific strategy, resources, and training to help them spread the Good News, plant churches, and multiply their efforts.
Our Values
We actively and intentionally live out Jesus’s command to go.
“Go and make disciples of all peoples.” – Matthew 28:19
The way we show up matters, so we will audaciously protect our values:
- Audacious Pursuit: We follow the Matthew 28:19 command of Jesus to go, audaciously partnering with indigenous leaders in unreached frontiers to reach all people. We will not stop until every ear has heard the name of Jesus.
- Above Reproach: Our integrity is our cornerstone of all we do. We strive for actions and leadership that is beyond reproach.
- Catalytic Collaborators: We work better and faster when we do it together. When we collaborate, we accelerate completing the mission.
- Relentless Stewards: We have been entrusted with abundant resources. We will relentlessly ensure we steward our blessings well.
- Unapologetically Transparent: Without fail, we will share information, engage in healthy conflict, and be honest in all communication.
What We Believe
AT REACH THE REST, WE ACCEPT THE BIBLE, GOD’S WORD, TO BE OUR ONLY AUTHORITY IN FAITH AND PRACTICE, AND MAKE THE FOLLOWING DECLARATIONS OF BELIEF:
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Bible to be the only Word of God: fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and having supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12-13).
THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14).
GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (John 17:3; Ephesians 1:17, 20-21; I Corinthians 2:6-13; I John 5:14-15; Jeremiah 9:23-24; John 3:16-17).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth. (John 1:1-2; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24; I Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5; Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (John 16:8-11; II Corinthians 3:6; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18).
REGENERATION
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation and that there are no good deeds a person can do to free himself from condemnation. We believe that those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and trust in Him by faith as the only way to salvation are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-19).
THE LAST THINGS
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal peace and joy of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked. (I Peter 4:5; Romans 14:9; II Timothy 4:1).
THE CHURCH
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27; I Corinthians 12:12-14; II Corinthians 11:2; Acts 14:27; Acts 18:22; Acts 20:17; I Timothy 3:1-3; Titus 1:5-11; Acts 13:1-4; Acts 15:19-31; Acts 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; I Corinthians 3:9, 16; I Corinthians 5:4-7, 13; I Peter 5:1-4).
